Find Your Local Surf Life Saving Club

Our Surf Life Saving Clubs and their members continue to be our most important asset. Surf Life Saving Clubs are central hubs of communities all along the South Australian coastline. They are at the heart of Surf Life Saving, but they’re more than that. They’re a place to call home, a place to belong, a second family.

Surf Life Saving doesn’t discriminate. Local club membership is for everyone regardless of age, gender, cultural background or even swimming skills. Whether you want to be an active patrol member saving lives on the beach, an age manager for Nippers on the weekend, or a volunteer club official working behind the scenes to ensure things run smoothly - there’s something for everyone.

We have 22 clubs in South Australia from Whyalla to Beachport who are home to more than 9000 members, including nearly 3000 patrolling volunteers and over 2,800 junior members.

Does your community need a Surf Life Saving Club?

Surf Life Saving Clubs belong to the local community and are a reflection of community need. Local residents are the drivers of development, management and activities of our surf lifesaving clubs and it is these members that want to be a part of one of Australia’s finest and most respected organisations. In fact, the largest volunteer movement of its kind.
