Cert III Pathways
The PUA30322 Certificate III in Public Safety (Aquatic Search and Rescue) is designed for participants performing complex search and rescue operations on inland or coastal waters.
Club Delivered Member Courses
Surf Rescue Certificate
The Surf Rescue Certificate course provides participants with skills and knowledge related to surf awareness‚ aquatic rescue operations, communication systems and equipment and resuscitation.
Bronze Medallion
The Bronze Medallion course provides participants with the skills and knowledge of basic surf awareness in order to be able to participate in lifesaving operations.
Resuscitation
The Resuscitation course provides participants with the skills and knowledge to provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation to an adult, child or infant.
Advanced Resuscitation Techniques
The Advanced Resuscitation Techniques (ART) course is to develop skills and knowledge to manage life-threatening external bleeding, use oxygen, airway management devices and automated external defibrillators during resuscitation, and to administer oxygen to conscious or unconscious victims.
IRB Crew
The IRB Crew course provides participants with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively crew an inflatable Rescue Boat (IRB) in surf rescue operations.
Silver Medallion
IRB Driver
The Silver Medallion IRB Driver (IRBD) course provides participants with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively drive and manage an Inflatable Rescue Boat (IRB) in surf rescue operations.
Radio Operator Certificate
The Radio Operators Certificate course provides participants with the skills and knowledge to effectively operate communications systems and equipment in their local lifesaving environment.
Club ‘In-House’ CPR Course
The 'in-house' CPR is an assessment only course arranged between the Club's Chief Instructor and existing SLSSA members who wish to be awarded a Statement of Attainment for HLTAID009 Provide CPR.

The Silver Medallion Aquatic Rescue course provides participants with the skills and knowledge to participate in search and rescue operations.

Patrol Captain
The Silver Medallion Patrol Captain Course equips members with the skills and knowledge required to confidently manage a beach and run patrols, especially under different and challenging situations.
State Combined PFA & ART
The combined Provide First Aid and Advanced Resuscitation Techniques course develops the knowledge and skills to manage emergency first aid situations and deliver competent emergency care until the arrival of professional medical support.
State SRC to Bronze Intensive
The State Intensive Surf Rescue Certificate to Bronze Medallion Course provides participants with skills and knowledge related to surf awareness, aquatic rescue operations, radio operations, resuscitation, emergency care, spinal management, communication, teamwork and Surf Life Saving patrol operations.

Rescue Water Craft Operator Certificate
The Rescue Water Craft Operator Certificate course provides participants with the knowledge and skills needed to safely and effectively drive a Rescue Water Craft (RWC) in surf rescue operations.
JRB Crew
The JRB Crew course provides participants with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively crew a Jet Rescue Boat (JRB) in surf rescue operations.
